Nick Saban and his crystal ball are caravaning across the Southeast. On May 22, the Crimson Caravan pulls into Orange Beach for its final stop, and you have a chance to be there. The event start at 6 p.m. local time. Tickets are $50.

The LuLu, a 271-foot retired freighter that will help put Alabama on the worldwide map for diving enthusiasts will eventually rest on the bottom of the Gulf 17 miles directly south of Orange Beach. It will be towed two miles up the Intracoastal Waterway from Walter Marine to LuLu’s at Homeport Marina for a christening party on May 24 beginning at 9 am.
The ship will be christened at 1 pm, and the party will continue until 3 pm. Later, the ship will debark on a 20-hour tow to the detonation site …

Brothels, Bites and Booze: a Culinary Tour of San Diego’s Questionable Past

Travel back in time with us on our popular San Diego food tour. Your guide will take you through the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter and reveal the true beginnings of San Diego–layer by layer. Learn why it’s only recently been safe to walk the streets at night, and how the city has managed to transform from an area that once claimed over 120 brothels, into a vibrant nightlife hotspot as well as a major culinary destination.
